ON Semiconductor - Out-of-the-box sensor development kit for power-optimised IoT applications
ON Semiconductor has introduced the RSL10 Sensor Development Kit, designed to give engineering teams a comprehensive platform for creating IoT applications with cutting-edge smart sensor technology, and enabled by what is claimed to be the industry’s lowest power Bluetooth Low Energy radio.
The kit combines the highly integrated RSL10 SIP with Bosch Sensortec's advanced low-power sensors. The development platform provides 9DoF detection and environmental monitoring, including ambient light, pressure, VOC, relative humidity and temperature. It also integrates an ultra-low noise digital microphone with user-programmable RGB LEDs, three programmable pushbutton switches and 64kbit EEPROM.
Dr. Peter Weigand, vice president of marketing at Bosch Sensortec, commented on the introduction of the kit: "We are pleased to partner with ON Semiconductor to develop the RSL10 sensor kit. This small platform includes Bosch Sensortec's highly integrated BME680 environmental sensor for various types of inspection. Gas for air quality applications, as well as BMM150 geomagnetic sensor and BHI160 smart sensor for high-precision motion sensing. RSL10 sensor kit combines motion and environmental sensing with the ultra-low power consumption of the Bluetooth 5 certified RSL10 for a new generation Consumer and industrial IoT applications have improved sensor technology and longer battery life.
