ON Semiconductor FSA4480 USB Type-C Analog Audio Switch is designed to allow a standard USB Type-C Port to pass USB 2.0 signals and analog audio for use with headphones and microphones. The FSA4480 includes integrated high voltage protection up to 20V DC and offers pinout support for both OMTP (Open Mobile Terminal Platform) and CTIA/AHJ (Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association / American Headset Jack) Smartphone Headset Standards. The devices also includes Over Voltage Protection (OVP) on the common node pins and the unplugging of any audio device is automatically detected.
The FSA4480 has an integrated I2C interface, allowing simple controll by a host processor. Housed in a small WLCSP chipscale package with dimensions just 2.24mm x 2.28mm x 0.5mm, the FSA4480 is ideal for space-constrained mobile applications such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and speakers.
